The wind whipped Lara's hair, screeching in her ears. It seemed to be screaming at her to turn back, as if it knew something that she didn't. The snow was slashing at her face, causing dark red scratches to appear on her soft cheeks.
I am going to write another story, and this is just a part of it. I am too lazy to write any more.

A Small Moment
The delicate aroma wrapped around my body, and I raced home. As the delicious April scenery of the emerald green forest faded behind me, I skipped every step and got closer to the house, and closer to the mouth-watering lasagna. As I burst through the door, I could feel a wave of happiness crash over me. I seated myself at the end of the table and glanced at my family. Everyone was so happy, so joyful. I smiled on the inside and the outside. "Life is perfect." I whispered to myself, getting up to join the party of happiness.
Trying out something new
So, in trying to write in my blog more, I have decided to use a writing prompt each evening to write something in what ever format strikes my fancy. That being said, the first topic (given to me by a friend) is "cat popsicle".....
The Cat Popsicle
The popsicle dripped lazily onto the sidewalk. I licked the frozen treat. The creamy yet cold flavor danced on my taste buds. I glanced around and noticed a cat creeping toward the drops of ice cream that were resting on the pavement. I stepped back a few feet, so the cat didn't feel uncomfortable. She gingerly licked it up as I smiled. "Thank God it wasn't chocolate." I murmured. I licked up the rest of my drippy vanilla ice cream, and galloped inside!

My small moment
I shoved the rest of my hot dog into my mouth, forcing it down my throat. I rushed into the hospital room, quickly stopping as I stared at my mom. She was caressing a small baby girl in her hands, admiring all the delicate characteristics packed into the precious little gift.
"Do you want to hold her?" my mom asked, as I carefully stalked towards the bed. I excitedly reached for the baby, and my mom handed her to me as she glared at me for being so careless. I cradled her in my arms and sat down in the chair by a window over looking the parking lot. I then found myself hypnotized by two bright, lively pools of baby blue eyes that burned into my soul. A passing nurse gazed at the wriggling baby resting in my arms.
"If I where you I would cherish that gorgeous girl forever" she smiled.
"Trust me, we will" I whispered, lost in my baby sisters future.
